Admissions
YOUR FIRST STEP
Getting Started
At the Center for Living and Learning we want to make your admissions process as simple as possible. The process starts with a phone call with our staff to learn how we can collaborate with you in your path toward healing.
01
Phone Assessment
In your initial phone assessment staff will gather information about your physical and mental health history, past treatment, current needs and goals, and any history of substance abuse. We also request any previous records from past or current treatment.
02
Onsite Assessment
After the initial phone call, we will schedule an onsite tour where you will have the opportunity to:
• Meet with our Psychiatrist, Executive Director, Healthcare Manager, Residential Manager and other members of our team
• Participate in and/or observe our vocational program
• Meet a current resident and join one of the houses for lunch
• Tour the facilities and programs
03
Admission
Your admission to the Center for Living and Learning will be scheduled upon completion of all assessments, required paperwork and a determination that the Center is a good fit for your care. Throughout the assessment process our team will create an individualized treatment plan to best meet your goals and needs.

All admissions for the Center for Living and Learning are made on a case by case basis, following a thorough review of each person’s history, needs, and goals. In general this program is designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Have a primary diagnosis of a mental health disorder
• Symptoms are not severe enough to need acute inpatient care to achieve stabilization
• Are capable of fully engaging in all aspects of treatment

We do not limit the length of stay. We believe in the power of individualized treatment which is unique for each resident. As long as you are committed to the program, our staff will support your journey.
Third-party insurance does not usually cover residential care. This has to be checked through the individual’s insurance provider.
